“Would you like an adventure now, or would like to have your tea first?” —J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
Why can’t I have both? Why can’t I go into my journey with a large cup of chamomile, spilling a little on my skirt as I fly into Neverland? Why can’t I spend those rainy day adventures curled up with a good book and a mug of earl grey? As C.S. Lewis once said, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” That’s exactly why I named this blog Tea-Stained Adventures.
Hey there! I’m Sophia!
I’m a Third Culture Kid with a passion for exploring the peculiar and unexpected oddities that life has to offer. Sometimes, that comes in the form of a good book. Sometimes, a plane ticket. This blog mainly focuses on three of these gateways: reading, wandering, and wonders.
I grew up in Dubai, UAE, before moving to the United States. At the moment, I’m living on the eastern side of the USA while studying Humanities at Anglo-American University from afar, though I will be moving to Prague to study on-campus once circumstances allow it. Despite my love for wandering around the globe, I’m disabled and currently unable to wander physically as much as I’d like to, due to chronic illnesses that have affected me since the spring of 2020. I like iced mochas, antique stores, and classic novels. With all my heart, I love Jesus Christ and owe everything to Him.
Soli Deo Gloria,
