“Would you like an adventure now, or would like to have your tea first?” —J.M. Barrie, Peter Pan
Why can’t I have both? Why can’t I go into my journey with a large cup of chamomile, and end up spilling a little on my skirt as I fly into Neverland? Why can’t I spend those rainy day adventures curled up with a good book and a mug of earl grey? As C.S. Lewis once said, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.” That’s exactly why I named this blog Tea-Stained Adventures.
Hey there! I’m Sophia, and I create content for those who cherish the little things, have a nose for adventure, and could spend a lifetime curled up with a good book.
I like mochas, antique stores, and steampunk novels. With all my heart, I love Jesus Christ, and owe everything to Him. I grew up in Dubai, UAE, and currently reside on the east coast of the United States where I’m finishing my last year of high school, hoping to soon to move across the globe and work in journalism.
This blog is separated into three categories: reading, wandering, and wonders.
Reading—for the love of literature.
This is where you’ll find all the good books and the lessons you learn from them. Some adventures are meant to be experienced, and some wisdom is meant to be obtained, through the written word.
Wandering—for the sake of adventure.
This is a place for the journeys I face, the places I travel, or anything whatsoever that can be considered an ‘adventure.’
Wonders—for beautiful things, big and small.
Wonder is synonymous with “marvel,” so perhaps, I could define this as anything “marvelous”—which, with a free spirit, can encompass things that are seen everyday as well as things that are rare.
Soli Deo Gloria,
